NAMCI is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) that has been serving employees and their families throughout North Alabama for over twenty years. A PPO is a network of hospitals, clinics, physicians, and other medical providers who have agreed to provide medical care to members at a reduced cost. PPO's offer the member cost savings when using the network providers while maintaining the ability to choose care from other providers.

Health plans that feature a PPO have numerous benefits which include the following:

• Overall healthcare costs are typically lower and thus premiums are less expensive than traditional indemnity plans.
• PPO providers undergo a stringent credentialing process to assure that only qualified providers are admitted to the network.
• When you use a preferred provider, your out of pocket costs will be lower.
• Pre-negotiated fees with providers make your portion of the bill less expensive.

NAMCI is a preferred provider network and not an insurance company or an administrator of your health benefits. To determine what is covered, please consult your health identification card for the appropriate number to verify benefits.
